I recently received my copy of the the book "A Chinese in the AVG" by Keith Lee, this the story of Pak On Lee and tells his story and those of the other Chinese that were officially in the AVG.
The book is for sale on the AVG Website and has lots of documentation and photos of Pak On Lee's  life during the war years. Unfortunately, Pak On Lee passed away in 1995 and had Alzheimer's disease and did not record his experiences with the AVG and 14th Air Force. Still, it is an interesting read!

Great topic----thanks for starting this thread BenL.

There were numerous Chinese-Americans amongst the ground personnel of the
AVG, as you can view at our AVG Roster pages.
