If I agreed with you, then we'd both be wrong
Tripp, I have been in contact with "Scarsdale" Jack's cousin's son, John G. Newkirk. He wrote the book we talked about, "The Old Man and the Harley". I'll see if he'll allow me to release his e-mail address to you.

TO UPDATE YOU:

Our search for missing Tigers and relatives has started to yield some results.  We thank all of you who have responded to our search.

Why the Search?  We're glad to let you know our important reasons!

There are 4 known Tigers still living (Baisden, Brown, Losonsky & Stiles).  The Flying Tigers Association holds annual Reunions and the living Tigers, Widows and Families all attend (when health permits travel) and enjoy renewing long friendships with dear friends.  We are always seeking news of the 18 Tigers for whom we have no updated info on status or date of death, plus family members who may not be on our mailing list.

Thanks for passing this info along to Tiger families or any of our missing Tigers.

We are happy to report that our Search project for news on missing AVG Flying Tigers members and also members of AVG families has met with some success.

We have been able to add some closure in the case of a few missing Tigers as we now are able to confirm their passing and are able to document the date and location of such.

Our AVG family is growing!!  We happily added new AVG family members at our 75th Anniversary Reunion in Atlanta---they had never attended an AVG Reunion before and they brought some incredible mementos to share with us that we had never seen before....wow!!

FLASH ALERT:

For the purpose of aiding the process of finding, identifying and returning these remaining 12 AVG Flying Tigers we are still trying to find members of the families of the following Lost Tigers:

Neil G. Martin
Robert J. Sandell
Frank W. Swartz
John E. Fauth
Thomas Jefferson Cole, Jr.
Edward J. Leibolt
Robert Laing Little
John E. "Pete" Petach
Arnold "Red" Shamblin
John Dean
Allen M. Wright
Einar I. Mickelson

If you have any info which will help us to contact family members please post
at this thread or email me directly (aaatripp@gmail.com) OR have them
get in touch with us.  The DPAA has this on their radar scope and,
though the door for projects in China seems to be temporarily closed, we
want to proceed with finding other Tigers and bringing them home to
their families....!

As always, the Flying Tigers Association
greatly appreciates your interest in preserving the accurate history of
the AVG Flying Tigers.
