Flying Tigers AVG Board http://www.forums.flyingtigersavg.com/index.php? <![CDATA[Reunion]]> http://www.forums.flyingtigersavg.com/index.php?tid=856&tpg=1#p3690 I'm a student writing a paper on the Flying Tigers. I was wondering where/when the 2017 reunion is, and whether it's open to visitors for research purposes.
Thank you.

Here is the link so that you can easily locate the FEI HU dvd at our AVG website.
It will really give you a personal insight into the life of the Tigers circa 1941-42 as they were recruited, traveled to the exotic land of the British colony Burma, trained in Chennault's "kindergarten", flew and repaired the shrinking fleet of P-40B Tomahawks and bravely fought the Japanese air and land forces in a valiant effort to defend the Burma Road and help to keep China in the war.

You will indeed love and respect the Tigers, just as we do....!

<![CDATA[MEMORIAL DAY - merge of 3 topics]]> http://www.forums.flyingtigersavg.com/index.php?tid=819&tpg=1#p3683 Memorial Day we are reminded of the service, dedication and sacrifice of those who have served America and our Allies in the defense of Freedom all over the world. Some paid the ultimate price anddid not return. Others suffered severe wounds, both physical and mental, from the horrors of war and many still carry those wounds today. To their families we are indeed grateful for their support of their service member as they endured the long periods of absence and worry and sometimes grief......

When you are celebrating summer with cookouts, sales at the mall, etc. please remember the original and real pupose of observing Memorial Day. If you can....there are many veterans graves to be flagged in cemeteries around the world. Whatever you do, please pause for a moment to say......Thank You to our service men and women!

We honor our Tigers...those still living (Frank Losonsky & Dr. Carl K. Brown) and those who have "headed West" by warmly saying....WELL DONE and thanks, Boys, we'll never forget you!!
